Definitely! Note many of these concepts are not new. For example this book from the early 90’s is a classic and was part of the Al Gore initiative to improve government performance.

This book “education and the cult of efficiency” was very eye opening for me personally as the drive for greater data and “scientific management” can have lots of unintended consequences:
