We are one month out from National Day of Civic Hacking, woohoo! As you work to prepare your NDoCH events, we are really excited to share some new developments with you. Here are three things that you should know this week:
- V2 of the NDoCH Toolkit is now live! We’ve updated the toolkit with step by step instructions for how to execute each of the three actions the Network prioritized for NDoCH around record clearance: Journey Mapping, a Usability Scorecard, and a Know Your Rights site. Also new in the toolkit are logos and shareable graphics for the day.
- A comprehensive and easily usable version of the National Day of Civic Hacking website is now live! Direct people here so they can find your events, share about NDoCH on social media, and donate to the Network in order to support the work we are all accomplishing together!
- This coming Monday, August 26, we are holding a workshop to help you prepare for National Day of Civic Hacking. Join Aditi Joshi and Meilani Santillán from Code for America’s Criminal Justice team who will be discussing how to execute the journey mapping and usability scorecard actions in detail. We will also go over creating a Know Your Rights site.
Did you know? Studies estimate fewer than 10% of those eligible for record clearance have received it. The work we’re doing for NDoCH will provide relief to people impacted by the criminal justice system.
Reach out to us with any questions you have, and we look forward to seeing you on Monday for the webinar.
